Albert De La Vega
Florida state licensed home inspector and general contractor
Experienced and Certified
Albert De La Vega, CPI
Hi, my name is Albert De La Vega. I’m a Florida state licensed home inspector and general contractor. I founded BDC Inspection Services because I like helping people and guide them in making a confident purchase in a new home.
I’m a general contractor and have been in the Construction industry for over 25 years…longer than I’ve been an inspector. As a contractor, homeowners would often ask me to do work based on home inspection reports done by various inspection companies. Often, I found that these inspectors would miss or forget to include important problems while including many things that were not faulty. This ended up costing my clients valuable time and money. That always bothered me so I decided to do something about it – So I became an inspector.
I wanted to be able to tell future owners what was actually right or wrong with a prospective home without using any scare tactics or over-dramatization. Since becoming a licensed home inspector, I have performed thousands of inspections based both InterNACHI and FABI guidelines (Florida Association of Building Inspectors). But more importantly, I inspect based on years of in-the-field experience building homes, finding problems in existing homes and repairing them. I’m not just someone who sat in a classroom, took a course and passed a test without any real-life experience.
This focus is what sets me apart from other inspectors. I also demand the same commitment to experience from those I employ.
These years of experience in the home service and Construction industry allow me to leverage my knowledge to your benefit. This in-depth knowledge of home systems allows me the opportunity to educate homeowners and homebuyers through the inspection process.
Because of my real estate, insurance, and home warranty experience, I can help you navigate through the process and save money at the same time by letting you know exactly what will be needed in order for you to secure insurance for your new home on the Southwestern Florida coast. You can also rest assured that the information contained in your inspection report will be accurate and concise, and will leave no surprises to be found after the home purchase.
As a home inspector, I am known for my attention to detail and my positive experiences with my customers. I am professional and approachable, and while I will show and explain any defects I find and will let you know whether they should be considered serious, I will not let my personal opinion influence what is and should be your decision.
Every inspector who will be in charge of your home inspection is an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector. This means you’ll have a Grade-A experienced and knowledgeable inspector looking over your new home. Your inspector may be joined by an apprentice inspector. All of our employees start off on a temporary basis with one of our licensed inspectors. After our initial training period, any parts of the inspection performed by an apprentice is supervised by an onsite InterNACHI inspector.
Many of our apprentices go on to meet the academic and field requirements to become licensed in their own right. We not only teach the fundamentals; we excel in motivating and educating our employees in positive communication, attitude, and professional standards.
